Taking a moment from the hard work of mixing cement, passing along buckets of dirt, and clearing the worksite of debris, I notice the children of the school start up a game of jump rope. I turned my attention away from my work and trudge up the hill to join them with other volunteers, and taking part in the fun. I simply could not resist joining those smiling faces as they waited their turn to have a chance at the swing of the rope. Its time like these that one realizes the basis for all human existence. Food, water, shelter and laughter. Essentially our lives boil down to the same elements, and the coming together of this temporary volunteer community in Ban Sai Thong Village was exemplary of this. Just a few moments of playing jump rope with elementary students can make all the worries of the day fade into the red-orange sun on Northern Thailand.

School Time

Bryan started school, So I am on my own this week. I am picking him up tonight, so I can get the scoop on grade two. I have been selling on E-Bay again. I should do more but I get lazy. Its going to be in the 80 this week, I am happy - Not looking forward to winter. Steve is in Oly. today a meeting for his work, so I am just being lazy guess I should get something done, my days off are almost over. Have a good day. Aunt T.

Training To Walk A Marathon

Sunday I started my training for our Marathon. I found out I have a long why togo. Today is my sisters Birthday (Happy Birthday to you). Bryan is helping me train. We are walking the track.
Bryan is learning to cut kindling Makes me nervous, But he loves it. In a few years we wont be able to pay him to do it. Porsche and Ben went camping this weekend. I don't think Cody is speaking to me this week so I am not sure what he is up to. Bryan said him and his dad went fishing. This weekend Porsche is helping me with a yard sale. Bryan gets the money for school stuff. I cant believe how fast the summer went. We only got to one Mariners game, A guy ran out on the field, made the whole game watching everyone chase him around. We lost, but whats new, I just like the game. I am not sure anyone reads my post but, I am going to get better as time goes on. Aunt T.

O.k. I hope someone reads this. Its my try at a Blog. If anyone has any family info or pictures for me to post please send. I have spent most of my summer with Bryan so you'll hear a lot about that. I thought my days of Bikes, Skate Boards and Backpacks in my car were over ..Oh was I wrong the only thing that different is I can send him home when I get tired of it. I am doing the same things I did with my Kids and Nice and Nephews, Even if they don't remember. We made MonkeyMuch (all most too sweet) From John and Kate + 8, Play doe in odd colors, Lots of cookies. I let Bryan drive Steves Corvette, We took the dog in the back of the truck for a ride in the field and ran over nails and gave Steves truck a flat tire. When Bryan shows up so dose the kids that live around us. Bryan has a pool so they take turns summing in our pool and then the go to the neighbor's pool. Bryan took 3 weeks of swim lesson and really did great. Porsche and Bryan took ducks to one of Porsche camps for the kids to raise. Bryan had a fun day at camp and I think he will try sleep away camp next year. I'll try to get better at this as time goes on. I am off to the Skate Park usely the only Grandma Ha. Love to all Aunt T.
